Upon the request of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MoEW) and through a financing from UNICEF, BTD won a contract to identify the Hydrogeological Basins feeding the major coastal springs and to assess their water quality.
As part of the ongoing investigations, the Litani River Authority (LRA) allowed BTD to conduct a tracing test, using Uranine, in the Litani river and more precisely in the area extending from the Qakai’yeh bridge to Al Qasmiyeh diversion dam to study the connection that might exist between the Litani river and the Al Qasmiyeh and Abou Abdallah springs.
